The Story of Each Stone is a 5-day multi-genre writing and hiking retreat held at Red Rooster Ranch, near Aspen, Colorado. This retreat offers participants an opportunity to develop their writing in a small, individualized workshop led by Brooke Shaffner, while exploring the breathtaking wilderness of the Rockies in outdoor activities led by Pam Warren.

Projections is a creative writing and street photography workshop centered around New York City poems and landmarks. This workshop invites students to evaluate the intersection of their identity, voice, and internal landscape with the identity, voice, and physical landscape of the city—and through this process of projection—to map their own cities.

A Teen Writing Workshop in Brooklyn

Sleeping on the Wing, named for Frank O’ Hara’s poem, offers high school students the experience of writing in an intimate, supportive workshop that values the risks and adventure of the creative process. No previous creative writing experience is necessary—only a fascination with words and a desire to develop greater fluency and confidence in their writing.
